Precautions for the use of
excavator turbochargers
The working characteristics of the excavator turbocharger is that it works under high temperature and high speed conditions. In order to ensure its normal operation, the following matters should be paid attention to:
(1) For the newly activated or just repaired supercharger, the rotor should be turned by hand before use to check whether there is sluggishness and abnormal sound; if there is a sharp sound during work, it should be stopped immediately. If the supercharger vibrates, it may be caused by damage to the air compressor impeller, bearing or turbine impeller and should be replaced.
(2) It is necessary to ensure that the air intake of the compressor is clean, and the cleaning of the air filter must be strengthened. Do not allow foreign matter to enter the compressor and turbine; prevent dust from accumulating on the impeller, otherwise it will reduce the efficiency of the compressor. Add a certain amount of oil through the oil inlet pipe of the supercharger.
(3) It must be ensured that the turbocharger has reliable lubrication, the lubricating oil should be clean, the oil pressure should be normal, the oil temperature should not be too high or too low, the oil pipe joints should be sealed, and there should be no dripping phenomenon, and the supercharger should be cleaned before use. Lubrication (add a certain amount of oil through the supercharger oil inlet pipe).
(4) The intake air temperature of the turbine should be strictly controlled. For this reason, the fuel system of the diesel engine must be adjusted according to the regulations, and the fuel supply should not be changed arbitrarily.
(5) The operation of the supercharger should be checked frequently; if the supercharger works normally, the turbocharger rotor can continue to run for a certain period of time after the diesel engine has just stopped.
(6) Each connecting pipe shall be assembled correctly, shall not be changed arbitrarily during dismantling and inspection, and shall ensure the reliable sealing of the connection.
(7) When the diesel engine is started, it should be ensured that the supercharger is fully lubricated; before the diesel engine is stopped, it should run at idle speed for 3 to 5 minutes, so that the lubricating oil can take away the heat and avoid burning the sealing ring or causing the bearing to die and the bearing.
