The formation of sludge deposits is caused by the oxidation and deterioration of diesel engine oil, and the fundamental causes of engine oil oxidation and deterioration are overheating of the diesel engine, too much gas passing between the piston and the cylinder wall, mixing diesel oil into the engine oil, and cooling water leaking into the engine oil , Improper selection of oil and failure to change oil within the prescribed time limit.
4. External foreign matter entering the intake or exhaust system of the diesel engine
Both the turbine and the compressor impeller of the turbocharger rotate at a very high speed. Once external foreign matter enters the intake and exhaust systems of the diesel engine, the impeller will be damaged; small objects (such as sediment) will erode the impeller and cause it The wind guide angle of the blade changes; large and hard objects will cause the blade to break; soft objects (such as cotton yarn) will be rolled on the blade against the direction of impeller rotation.
If there is foreign matter entering and the impeller is damaged and the whole supercharger is damaged, it must be completely replaced. Usually, the damage to the compressor impeller is caused by the metal sheet embedded in the air filter element or the debris entering the intake pipe when the filter element is replaced, which is sucked by the compressor. If the filter element is not replaced or the air intake pipe is not excluded Debris may continue to damage the newly replaced supercharger.
5. Operating temperature is too high
Generally speaking, the heat source that causes the working temperature to be too high comes from the gas (exhaust gas) discharged by the engine. Excessive exhaust gas temperature will damage the supercharger directly or indirectly. Direct damage, that is, the high temperature overheats the intermediate casing of the supercharger and corrodes or deforms the turbine casing material; excessive exhaust gas temperature will also cause the turbine casing to crack.
6. Indirect damage, that is, when the exhaust gas temperature is too high, the extra heat energy in the exhaust gas will accelerate the rotor assembly of the turbocharger and work at a higher speed than the design speed, if this happens, the compressor impeller Will crack due to one or more repeated high stress loading, turbine wheel will also crack due to loss of strength of material at high temperature and increase of turbine speed. The possible reasons for the increase in exhaust gas temperature are: wrong engine air-fuel ratio, engine timing problems, exhaust gas throttling, exhaust gas oxygen sensor problems, or problems with other engine control systems, etc.
