Reasons and solutions for the sound of excavator camshafts

The phenomenon of camshaft noise in the excavator engine is as follows: 1. When the diesel engine is at medium speed, there is a heavy noise from the side of the camshaft of the cylinder block; at high speed, the sound is chaotic; 2. When the single cylinder is cut off, the sound remains unchanged; 3 , There is vibration near the camshaft bearing.

The reasons for the failure are: 1. The clearance between the camshaft bearing and the journal is too large and loose; 2. The camshaft bearing is loose or the bearing alloy is ablated, peeled off or worn too much; 3. The camshaft axial clearance is too large or the camshaft bending.

Diagnosis and exclusion: 1. Use a stethoscope on the cylinder to auscultate the diesel engine at the speed with the strongest sound. If the sound is strong and accompanied by vibration, it can be diagnosed as bearing noise.

2. There is no change in the sound of the oil cut-off test, and the throttle valve can be changed slowly. If the idle sound is clear, the sound is obvious at medium speed, and the sound changes from clutter to weakened at high speed, it can be diagnosed that the axial clearance of the camshaft is too large or the bearing is loose.
